I’ve blogged about this before on Frugal Travel Guy and am surprised at how many people I’ve spoken to don’t know about this yet. US Airways Dividend Miles Mastercard holders have been receiving targeted emails for 10-50% rebates on award redemptions made by November 30. For travel before March 31, 2014.
The offer in my inbox was for 25% off award redemptions. You must redeem at least 20,000 miles and can get up to 30,000 miles back. This brings the cost of the popular 90,000 mile business class ticket to Asia/Europe down to 67,500 miles, which is a great value. The miles will be redeposited 3-4 weeks after redemption. For those who took advantage of the US Airways transfer promotion, this is a great incentive to burn those miles.
Have you been targeted for this promotion?
I actually wasn’t targeted even though I have the card, pay my bills in full on time, and have a significant amount of US AIrways miles. I contacted US Airways via e-mail twice asking why I am never targeted for their promos — literally, ever. And I never received a response to either inquiry so I am considering cutting up the card and saying good riddance. Thoughts?
No one in my house hold has ever received this targeted promo…that’s three different cards!!!
That’s really obnoxious. I’d give them a call and try to wrangle yourself an invite.
