Last week IHG announced a flash sale, offering 25-75% off award redemptions at select properties. The sale is now in full swing, with a huge selection of hotels to choose from. There is a single Intercontinental property on the list, the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus, which typically goes for 15,000 points per night. As part of this promotion, the hotel can be booked for 7,500 points per night. Not as great as a PointBreaks deal, but decent nonetheless.

There is a pretty huge selection of hotel at 75% off, including several Crowne Plaza hotels on the list. The sale applies to stays between October 8 – November 8, 2013.

If you have an upcoming stay, I’d book as soon as possible, as I imagine these hotels will book up fast. I’d avoid mass-booking speculatively, as some folks tend to do when the PointBreaks list comes out. If you’re short on IHG points, you can always transfer points from your Ultimate Rewards account.
If you don’t have definite travel plans, sit this one out. There’s always another great promotion around the corner.
