The Club1 Hotels gift card sale may not ring any bells, but it’s a big deal if you want to save serious cash on hotel bookings.
It’s no secret I’m a huge Club1 Hotels fan and the incredible deals you can find on their website. I’ve saved almost $1,300 at the Nizuc Cancun and found incredible savings on luxury hotels in New York City, Las Vegas, and Mexico.

Club1 Hotels gift card sale restrictions
- Club1 gift cards can only be used towards hotel and rental car bookings. These credits are not valid on flights or other activities.
- Reservations booked with discounted Club1 gift cards don’t earn ClubONE points and can’t be combined with other offers.
- The minimum purchase amount for Club1 gift cards is $500 and the maximum is $30,000.
How to buy Club1 Hotels gift cards
If you’re ready to stock up on Club1 gift cards during the sale, you’ll first need to sign up for a free membership. Once you’re all set, here’s how to buy gift cards, step-by-step:
- Head to the Club1 Hotels gift card sale page.
- Enter your first name, last name and email address into the form.
- Select the gift card amount you want to purchase. You’ll get a 20-30% discount, depending on the amount you choose. The minimum purchase amount is $500 and the maximum is $30,000.
- You’ll receive an email from Club1, asking you to pay the invoice for the gift cards you want to purchase. The email will come from memberservices @ club1hotels.com
- Click the “Pay invoice” button to access the payment form.
- Enter your billing address and email, then select “continue.”
- On the next page, enter your credit card information and select “Complete order.”
Your Club1 gift card will typically be added to your account within 24 hours though, in my experience, it can happen within the hour. You’ll get an email confirming your purchase and instructions on redeeming your gift card.
Which credit card to use
I used my Chase Hyatt Visa to buy Club1 gift cards in order to hit the $5,000 threshold for earning two elite night credits. The purchase was coded as travel, so it’s possible other Chase cards will process Club1 gift cards the same. If you use the Chase Sapphire Reserve for your gift card purchase (and it codes as travel), you would earn 3 points per dollar spent and trigger the $300 travel credit.
If you don’t want to take your chances, simply use a card that earns more than one point per dollar spent on any purchase. The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is a good choice, since it earns 2X miles on all purchases and you can transfer rewards to over a dozen airline and hotel partners.
How to redeem Club1 gift cards
You can view your Club1 gift card balance any time by logging into your Club1 account and clicking on “my account” on the upper right hand corner. From there, click on “gift cards” on the second column at the middle of the page.
When you’re ready to use your Club1 gift card, go through the booking process as you normally would.
- On the booking page, enter your credit card number.
- Scroll down to the “Promotions” section and enter your gift card code (sent to you via email).
- The total amount due will not change to reflect the e-gift card balance. However, your card will only be charged if your total due exceeds the gift card balance.
- Review the reservation information, check off the terms box and select the “Complete booking” button at the bottom of the page.
Stackable savings on hotel bookings
A free Club1 membership can provide incredible savings, especially if you stack the savings with the current gift card promotion. If you’re wondering whether I’m hyping it up for the $5 commission, here are some examples of deals I’ve come across:
Club1 discount at Hilton Tulum
The all-inclusive Hilton Tulum opened two years ago and offers beautiful rooms, a wide range of dining options, and a stunning beachfront setting. Rates often go for $500 per night or higher on the Hilton website, but Club1 Hotels frequently has the same ones available for under $400 (for two guests).
Last June, I booked a six-night stay for just $2,176 – that works out to $362.78 for two adults and one child (including taxes). That’s a fantastic deal, but even more so when you consider that Hilton was selling the same room for $2,916. With Club1 Hotels, I saved over $700.
If I’d taken advantage of the gift card sale, I would have saved another $500, bringing my total to $1,676. Try finding a hotel of this caliber at the same price during the summer – it’s just about impossible.
Considering the Hilton Tulum is an all-inclusive resort where hotel elite status benefit won’t matter anyway, booking through Club1 is the best option.
Club1 discount at the Waldorf Astoria Cancun
During that same time, I was looking at other Hilton properties in Cancun. I found an incredible deal at the Waldorf Astoria—a six-night stay in a pool room for two adults and one child priced at $3,326.
The Hilton website had the same room for $4,767. Booking through Club1 would save you over $1400 on this stay. If you’d purchased a $3,000 Club1 gift card during this sale, your total out-of-pocket for this stay would have dropped to $2,576 – around $2,100 less than booking directly with Hilton.
Other places where Club1 Hotels can save you money
Savings through Club1 Hotels aren’t just exclusive to Mexico. Over the years, I’ve also gotten incredible deals on Vegas and New York hotels. In fact, three years ago, I booked a three-night stay at the HGU in New York, saving $168 compared to the Hyatt website.
Just saved $168 on a 3-night hotel booking through @Club1Hotels. I love this site. #notsponsored

During peak travel dates, I’ve also seen nightly savings of $50 and higher in Las Vegas. Is Club1 Hotels always cheaper? No. But when it is, the savings are substantial. Since membership is free, it’s worth signing up and checking rates before you go through with a direct booking. The savings may well be worth the points you’ll and elite benefits you’ll give up (which, frankly, most chains are slacking on these days anyway).
Is the Club1 Hotels gift card sale worth it?
Not only can you save up to 60% on travel through Club1 hotels, but the incredible gift card sale is one of the best deals out there. I’m routinely finding excellent deals on Club1 hotel bookings, so I took advantage of this sale myself. I bought a $2,000 gift card for just $1,500. I know it will come in handy next year on either a summer trip to Europe with my family or an all-inclusive vacation over spring break.
Regardless of whether you take advantage of this Club1 Hotels gift card sale, I recommend you sign up for a free membership. It costs nothing, and you might find some terrific deals by comparing rates against hotel websites and other OTAs.
