Bilt Rewards members are in for a rewarding Rent Day on July 1, receiving up to 100% bonus points on transfers to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan. The exact transfer bonus depends on your Bilt elite status level as of July 1, 2024. You must also submit your transfer request on July 1 to qualify for the bonus.
You don’t need a Bilt credit card to participate in Bilt’s Rent Day promotions. All you need is to be a member of Bilt Rewards (which anyone can join) and download the mobile app.
Here’s a break-down of all the bonus point opportunities you can access on Bilt Rent Day in July:
Bilt transfer bonus to Alaska Mileage Plan
The most exciting part of Bilt Rent Day this July is the transfer promotion to Alaska Mileage Plan. Bilt added Alaska Airlines as a transfer partner in May 2024. This was a huge deal because Alaska Airlines is one of the best reward programs, with tons of great partners and redemption options.
Alaska is one of the few programs that still publishes an award chart and offers reasonable redemption rates for many flights. Until the Bilt deal, Alaska miles were hard to come by since the program wasn’t a 1:1 transfer partner of any other program.
Not only can you now transfer your Bilt points to Alaska Mileage Plan, but you’ll also get up to 100% bonus points when you do it by 2:59 a.m. (ET) on July 2, 2024:
- Bilt Platinum members: 100% bonus points
- Bilt Gold members: 75% bonus points
- Bilt Silver members: 50% bonus points
- Bilt Blue members: 25% bonus points
The transfer bonus only applies to the first 50,000 points transferred. That’s still a substantial amount and enough to cover round-trip business class airfare to Europe or many parts of Asia.
Alaska MVP status match for Bilt elite members
Bilt elite members can take advantage of a status match to Alaska MPV status between June 25 and July 1, 2024. To activate the status match, eligible Bilt members must transfer 10,000 Bilt points to Alaska Mileage Plan through the dedicated transfer page.
- Bilt Gold members = Alaska MVP status
- Bilt Platinum members = Alaska MVP Gold status
Note: The 10,000 points required to activate a status match do not qualify for the 25-100% transfer bonus.
The resulting status match is arguably more valuable than the 7,500-10,000 bonus miles you’d otherwise earn. Why? Because Alaska Airlines provides elite Mileage Plan members with plenty of perks. Here’s a breakdown of the benefits Alaska MVP and MVP Gold members qualify for:

Bilt credit cardholders earn double points on Rent Day
One constant aspect of Bilt Rent Day is are double points on the first day of every month. Bilt Mastercard holders earn double points on all credit card spending, except for rent payments (which earn 1X points). Here’s a breakdown of how many rewards you can earn via credit card spending on Rent Day with the Bilt Mastercard:
- 6X points on dining (normally 3X points)
- 4X points on travel (normally 2X points)
- 2X points on all other spending, excluding rent (normally 1X points)
It’s important to note that you must use the Bilt Mastercard at least five times every statement period in order to earn points. Rent Day is a great time to hit this threshold since it allows you to earn at least 2X points on your purchases.
Use it to stock up on gift cards, pay for your coffee, and pre-pay bills. By hitting the five-transaction minimum early in the month, you can check it off your list and stop thinking about it for another month.
Note: If you decide to apply for a Bilt Mastercard, consider using my referral link. I’ll receive 2,500 bonus points for every successful referral (thanks in advance!).
Free SoulCycle classes on Rent Day
Bilt members can book free themed Soulcycle classes through the Bilt app on July 1. The booking window opens on June 28 at 12 p.m. (ET).
One rider wins free rent for a month (up to $2,500). Note, no-shows and late cancelations may incur a $30 penalty.
Bilt Rent Free game show
Bilt members can play the Rent Free game on the app starting on June 25 at 12 p.m. (ET). The game ends on July 1 at 3 p.m. (ET). You can see your score and watch the full episode o 4 p.m., the same day you can watch the Rent Free game show and see your score.
The top ten scorers will win free rent for a month, while the next 600 top scorers will win extra Bilt points.
