Update: As of 7/12 the 100,000 mile Citi AAdvantage Executive offer is officially dead.
Update: According to Lucky, there may be a working link for the 100,000 mile Citi AAdvantage Executive card. It’s a landing page that does not mention the sign-up bonus. However, I used it recently and got the 100k offer.
The 100,000 mile Citi AAdvantage Executive Card offer has been around for a while, with people going nuts and getting upwards of 6 of these cards. Even when Citi changed the terms to limit the 100,000 mile bonus to one per person, people were still able to pick up multiple cards. According to Rick, founder of Frugal Travel Guy, the point bonanza may finally be coming to an end today. Obviously, we can’t know this for sure, but if you want to get this card (for the first or third time), you may want to get your application in now.
The card has a $450 annual fee, which is partially waived by a $200 statement credit. Cardholders also get complimentary Admirals Club membership, which is worth $500.
If you’re interested in picking up this card and worried about meeting the $10,000 spending requirement within 3 months, there are lots of ways to get that done economically. If you can handle some of the hassles that come with manufactured spending, this offer is worth taking advantage of.
On flyertalk, there was a 2nd Citi AA 100k application link with a 6/25 expiration date that already stopped working. Hopefully that’s the one you’re referring to. The original 100k link seems to be working fine.
I don’t know about that, but Rick’s friend went to the AA Lounge to apply for this card and they told him it was the last day for the 100k offer. Hopefully there will be another working link out there.
As of midnight, the landing page with the 100,00 offer is now dead.
Hey there, I’m thinking of applying for my 2nd AA card, however, I’ve left the US, and am now in Asia. I wanted to see whether you had any ideas for MS while outside the US? Do you know of stores that sell amex/other MS cards that ship outside the US, to Asia?
Would appreciate your thoughts!
Unfortunately I don’t. You can do Amazon Payments and swap out your Bluebird card for a Serve, which can be loaded online. Or maybe even hire a trusted friend/relative stateside that will do the MS for a fee.
A free bag is available with this card. Is that true if I did not pay with the card? What if I “paid” with points?
