Over 250 people have signed up for Saturday’s webinar, which is awesome! Not so awesome? Apparently there’s a 100 person limit, and not only does that mean 150 people will be left out in the cold on Saturday but I’ve gotten probably another 100 requests from people asking to be added to the invite list.
It’s really annoying that GoToWebinar didn’t send me a notification and I had to find out about it from frustrated readers. Since so many of you have expressed interest (and scheduling conflicts), I’m going to add two more webinars to accommodate demand – with a catch!
Remember how I talked about asking people to make a charitable donation in lieu of paying an admission fee? I think it would be a shame to let this opportunity to go waste, so let’s do it!
1. Everyone registering from this point forward will be asked to make a $10 donation to a charity of their choice. My personal recommendations are below, but it can be any non-profit.
- Help Refugees UK
- Al-Khair Foundation
- Doctors Without Borders
2. Register for one of the following two sessions. They’ll both cover the same topic, so please only register once!
3. Email or tweet me a screenshot of your donation receipt and I’ll confirm your registration.
Be sure to register ASAP. I don’t anticipate another 250 people signing up, but you never know. I didn’t think more than 50 would register to begin with, so it’s best to err on the side of caution.
If you were kicked out of webinar #1 due to registration capacity, I’ve already sent you an email with instructions on how to re-register. If you are one of those people, you are not obligated to make a charitable donation. Only if you want to. 🙂
While you’re at it, please also take a moment to fill out this brief survey regarding your expertise level and what you’d like me to cover on this blog going forward.
Not sure if Zoom can accommodate that many but it has worked seemlessly for us. But we had only 70 people. It’s a great ap. Wish I could join in but I will be traveling this weekend. Best success. Looking forward to hearing how it went. Do you have an agenda of topics you will discussing?
Thanks Tom! I will take a look at it and consider it for upcoming sessions. I don’t really have an agenda – I’ve compiled some common questions and will talk about basics. If you have specific q’s, feel free to email me.
Oh, I want to do this so much, but I have company all weekend. Seems a bit too much to leave them to join in. PLEASE do again.
There’s a good chance we’ll have another one!
Thanks, that would be great.
Experiencing some weird glitches for the survey on mobile- selecting the numbers in the drop down menu will cause another topic to be deselected.
Also the interests has selections from 1 to 7, not 1 to 5.
Sorry for the confusion. The interest section is meant to measure (on a scale of 1-5) how interested you are in each topic listed.
