I recently booked a hotel through Hyatt Privé for the first time, and not only did it save me money, but I also received a host of benefits that added immense value to my stay. In fact, after comparing rates at numerous Hyatt properties, I’m convinced a Prive agent should be your first stop before booking any Hyatt stay.
You might save on the nightly rate and enjoy extra perks that elevate your travel experience. The best part: You’ll still earn points and elite night credits on Hyatt Privé bookings.
Hyatt Privé benefits are similar to ones reserved for World of Hyatt elite members: complimentary breakfast, space-available room upgrades, and a welcome amenity. Rather than paying a premium for these benefits or trying to score a Guest of Honor Award, you can secure them by booking with Hyatt Privé.
If you want top-tier elite status perks without going through the hassle of mattress running, here’s everything you need to know about Hyatt Privé:
Hyatt Privé is an exclusive booking program that offers added benefits for stays at select Hyatt properties. The benefits offered are very similar to what Hyatt Globalist members receive and the rates will often be identical to Hyatt’s standard rate. There’s no guarantee that every Privé booking will result in savings, but it’s well worth comparing against Hyatt’s direct rates.
This program is particularly appealing for those without World of Hyatt status or for members looking to add value to their stays. When you book through Hyatt Privé, your reservation is considered a direct booking with Hyatt, so you earn points, elite night credits, and any applicable promotions.

Hyatt Privé benefits vary by property and season, but you can typically expect the following:
Some properties may even offer an extra free night or other perks, especially during the off-season. These perks can provide a more comfortable stay while saving you money. If you don’t have elite status with Hyatt, Privé benefits can be especially helpful in offsetting travel costs.

There are over 300 Hyatt Privé hotels worldwide to choose from. They include the Alila, Andaz, Destinations Hotels, Dream, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, JdV, Impressions, Miraval, Park Hyatt, Secrets, Thompson, Unbound Collection and Zoetry properties.
Keep in mind that some Hyatt Privé properties have minimum stay requirements to qualify for perks. Here’s a complete list of Hyatt Privé hotels participating in the program as of January 15, 2025.
Be sure to confirm a property’s participation with your Hyatt Privé agent before booking.
To book through Hyatt Privé, you’ll need to use a registered travel advisor. You can typically find one through a Google search or by checking with luxury travel agencies. Personally, I recommend my friend Jon Nicke-D’Andrea. He’s not only a points expert but a Fora travel agent.
Jon is a total pro, super responsive and goes the extra mile. He helped me out in a bind when my Standard Hotel Secret Agent booking went sideways and quickly rebooked me at a Hyatt property. So I highly recommend him for Hyatt Privé bookings and all other travel planning needs.
Hyatt Privé travel advisors earn a commission on Hyatt bookings for others, though this fee isn’t factored into the rate you pay. Agents also save up to 50% when booking travel for themselves. You can sign up to be a Privé agent here.
You can only book Hyatt Privé hotels through a participating Hyatt Privé agent. Once you provide your travel details, the agent will handle the booking on your behalf and ensure you receive all applicable benefits.
Here’s how it works, step-by-step:
When booking Hyatt Privé rates, your card will be used to hold the reservation. You won’t pay for the stay until check-in. Most reservations are refundable up to 24 hours before check-in, though you’ll want to confirm this with your agent.

Hyatt Privé has been around for a few years now, but I recently used the service for the very first time. I was traveling to New York, where Hyatt offers some excellent properties. The problem? I only have Hyatt Explorist status, which pretty much amounts to nothing: No complimentary breakfast, meaningful upgrades, nada.
So I reached out to my friend Jon, to see if booking through Privé made sense.
To my surprise, he texted back with a list of options that were significantly cheaper than Hyatt. Nearly every property was $30-$50 cheaper. The best part? The rate included complimentary breakfast, a space-available room upgrade and a welcome amenity. I was sold.
There was an issue with the first property I booked, so I quickly switched to the Bowery 50, a JVD property. I’ve stayed at the Bowery 50 half a dozen times before and love the hotel. It’s located in Chinatown, a vibrant neighborhood with convenient transportation options. The rooms are also spacious and the hotel has a second-floor lounge with incredible views of the Manhattan Bridge Arch and Colonnade.
Through Hyatt Privé, I saved around $50 per night over the regular rate. But breakfast was also included, which would’ve cost me another $25-$30.
At check-in, the staff recognized my previous stays and let me pick what floor and view I wanted. I was also given two free bottles of water and a $75 stay credit. The hotel has a pretty impressive rooftop restaurant and bar, where you can put this credit to good use.
I enjoyed my three-night stay at the Bowery 50 and was thrilled with the savings and added benefits I got through Hyatt Privé. It wasn’t much effort to check the Privé rates and the booking process was smooth. I would absolutely do it again.

Booking through Hyatt Privé is a game-changer for travelers looking to enjoy luxury perks without committing to elite status. From complimentary breakfast to room upgrades, the benefits can significantly enhance your Hyatt experience—all while earning points and elite night credits.
Whether you’re planning a vacation or a business trip, consider using a Hyatt Privé agent to maximize the value of your stay. In addition to stated perks, a Privé agent can assist in case of issues during your stay. They can also communicate with the hotel to make your experience more special. Overall, it’s a win – assuming you’re not overpaying for the given perks.
Have you booked a Hyatt Privé hotel before? Which property and would you recommend it to others?
Can I receive benefits from Hyatt Privé if I book a room with points?
No, I usually never pay cash and I tried thinking you could use points but you can not. I am not sure why this is being pushed so much on points sites, it’s cool and all but the whole reason I am in points is I don’t want to pay cash.
It makes sense when cash rates are low. For example, when I stayed at 50 Bowery two weeks ago, the paid rate was around $200 with tax and the point was 17,000. In that scenario, I’d only get 1.1 cent per point which isn’t worth it for me. So it made more sense for me to pay the $200 rate for three nights, get a $75 credit, free breakfast and earn points I can redeem later for much more value.
As Jimmy stated, you have to book a cash rate with Hyatt Prive.
